Welcome to the capital of the Podhale region...
Nowy Targ is located in the region deemed one of the most attractive areas for tourists in Poland. It is an ideal place for those who would like to make the most of the Podhale region, and it is a great springboard for trips to the Tatra Mountains, or the Pieniny Mountains, or to the beautiful Czorsztynskie Lake, or the Babia Góra mountain range..
There are 4 national parks around the regions (the Gorce National Park, the Babia Góra National Park, the Pieniny National Park, and the Tatra National Park) and such natural reserves as, among others, Bór nad Czerwonem, a peat bog reserve; Skałka Rogoźnicka, formed out of rare limestone with shell fragments; and the Białka Gorge, placed in between two huge rocks. Nowy Targ makes a good scenic place, which you can spot the moment you are entering the city – a wide panorama of the Tatra Mountains, the Gorce Mountains, the Pieniny Mountains and the Babia Góra mountain range unrolling in front of you.
